Announcing HealthCampNash!
November 19th, 2008HealthCamp, a spinoff of BarCamp, was started in 2006 to discuss how Web 2.0 technologies can revolutionize the healthcare industry. Since then, these un-conferences, or “camps”, have been springing up all over the country. San Francisco, Maryland, DC, New York, and even the UK. When we first heard about these camps, our initial thought was “Let’s go to the one in Nashville!” We were soon shocked to find out that, well, there wasn’t one in Nashville.
So we stepped in, and one lunch at Panera later, HealthCampNash was born! Nashville is a perfect location for such an event. With presences like HCA, Vanderbilt, AmSurg, and more, Nashville has been a giant in the healthcare arena for quite some time. The city is also quickly becoming one of the nation’s premier hubs for social media. Dave Delaney and Marcus Whitney brought BarCamp to Nashville two years ago with tremendous success, and the city is the birthplace of the Geek Breakfast. With such a strong influence of healthcare and social media, we feel like Nashville is the perfect place to bring the two worlds together!
Oh, and did I mention it’s free? Yeah, free! So why not come? You won’t want to miss it, so be sure to register today. Seriously… right now. Here’s a link.
